Indiana, PA – (January 11, 2022) – The DC Project will hold a press conference during the Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show®), titled “Why Second Amendment Advocacy Matters” on Tuesday, January 18, from 11 am – 12 pm in the Venetian, Marcello Room 4401A.

All media is invited to join the women of the DC Project as they share highlights from their Second Amendment advocacy successes in 2021. Learn how the organization has grown from 50 volunteers to encompass thousands of women across America. Then hear from Congressional leaders about how the DC Project impacts issues in Washington, D.C., and state capitols. Discover how the phrase “Educate NOT Legislate” influences the preservation of our right to keep and bear arms.

“As a nationwide organization of women committed to safeguarding the Second Amendment, it’s important for us to keep the shooting industry media aware of what we are accomplishing on the battlefield toward preserving our gun rights,” stated DC Project Founder Dianna Muller. “Giving thanks to those companies and individuals who have supported us throughout this six-year journey is equally important because, without their backing, we would not have the impact with policymakers we enjoy today,” she added.

Women for Gun Rights

The DC Project affirms that firearms safety and violence prevention are achieved through education, not legislation. We encourage the preservation of America’s gun culture and highlight the diversity and rising demographic of female gun owners through ongoing advocacy because gun rights are women’s rights. According to Muller, “We believe that self-defense is a human right and that we are our own first responders. We understand the importance of preserving the right to protect ourselves. Our foundation members regularly stand before legislators and lawmakers on the frontlines of this battle to protect this crucial right and make their voices heard through education.
